Beer List

We expect to have around 90 casks of real ale (that's over 6000 pints!) on-sale at the festival, together with up to 20 different traditional ciders and perries. The beer list will be posted and updated here as soon as beers are confirmed.

Beers are listed in alphabetical order by brewer, as they will appear in the hall and in the programme.

Ambridge Bromsgrove
1.Just Jane 3.9% ABV
Tasty and refreshing golden session beer. Hops are balanced by malt throughout. Ambridge have recently acquired the Wyre Piddle Brewery and will be brewing their beers alongside Ambridge beers thereby ensuring their survival.

This award winning National Champion Stout is a beautifully creamy, full-bodied stout, the likes of which were brewed nearly a century ago on the very site of the Bristol Beer Factory today. Does not contain milk. Invigorating & stimulating for workers (or so they used to say). Brewed within the city of Bristol from local raw materials.

Dark Star Partridge Green, West Sussex
33.American Pale Ale 4.7% ABV
The yeast strain used for the brewing of this American style pale ale is specially imported from the USA, along with Cascade, Centennial and Chinook hops. The low colour Maris Otter malt provides a perfect light colour and dryness to complement the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops.
34.Carafa Jade 5.0% ABV
Far from being jade coloured, this beer celebrates the beauty of the German Carafa barley malt that gives it a warm bronze colour without making it heavy or sweet. The clear palate is ideal to enjoy the full spiciness from the versatile New Zealand, Pacific Jade hops.
35.Hop Head 3.8% ABV
An extremely clean-drinking pale golden ale with a strong floral aroma and elderflower notes from the Cascade hops. This beer is full-bodied and full-flavoured yet gentle enough to make it a favourite session beer.

36.Foundation Bitter 4.2% ABV
One of our original brews, Foundation is an amber best bitter, with a good balance of maltiness and a refreshingly crisp bitter finish. Flavoured with a blend of English and New Zealand hops.
37.Nightwatchman 4.5% ABV
Our third beer is a darker, warmer, smoother beer than the first two. It's red-tinged in colour and is relatively well hopped.
Elland Elland, West Yorkshire
38.1872 Porter 6.5% ABV
Creamy, full-coloured porter. Rich liqourice flavours with a hint of chocolate from roast malt. A soft but satisfying aftertase of bittersweet roast and malt.
Enville Enville, Staffordshire
39.Cherry Blonde 4.2% ABV
A light blonde bitter delicately infused with essence of Cherry to produce a Belgium style fruit flavoured beer. The aroma and taste surpass expectation whilst the bitter finish is dry, hoppy and refreshing.
40.Ginger 4.6% ABV
Golden bright with gently gingered tangs. A drinkable beer with no acute flavours but a satisfying aftertaste of sweet hoppiness.
41.Kasitra 3.5% ABV
A stunning American style Pale Ale bursting with hoppy flavour belying it's 3.5% alcholic content. A powerful combination of Cascade and Citra hops ensure Kasitra is a winner creating a citrusy tasting session bitter with zesty notes of Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Papaya and Guava.
42.Old Porter 4.5% ABV
A traditional style Porter, dark in appearance and offering a complex mix of roast malt and fruit flavours with a degree of sweetness giving way to a dry finish.

43.BBH Cascade 4.3% ABV
Developed in the UK from the US version in 2002 it has the same flavours and aromas although not as intense.

Delicious golden ale showcasing the unique American Citra hop variety. Very fruity and delicately bittered.
46.Yakima 7.4% ABV
Strong IPA with a blend of US hops - Citra, Simcoe, Cascade, Chinook and Amarillo.
47.Yorkshire Navigator 3.8% ABV
A traditional dry mahogany coloured bitter made with lashings of American hops for a delicious aroma. Fermented with a Belgian yeast strain which adds its own fruity smoothness to this dry session ale.

49.Stalin's Punch 4.5% ABV

54.Liverpool Pale Ale 4.0% ABV

55.Shipwreck IPA 6.2% ABV
Grapefruit, aniseed and peach notes feature in the hoppy bite that builds to tropical fruit and a generous, piney bitterness in the finish.

83.Guardsman 4.2% ABV
The first new ale brewed in Windsor for more than 80 years and launched on St George's Day 2010. The famous bearskin hats worn by the Guard regimants based in Windsor was our inspiration for this classic best bitter, brewed with premium Maris Otter pale malt and a blend of Pilgrim, Styrian Golding and Fuggles hops.
84.Knight of the Garter 3.8% ABV
A flaxen-coloured, easy drinking Golden Ale, brewed with American Amarillo whole leaf hops giving a distinctive fresh citrus aroma reminiscent of cut grapefruit.
85.Kohinoor 4.5% ABV
Based on a classic IPA recipe which uses Imperial Malt along with Chinook, Simcoe and Pacific Jade hops. However the additional special ingredients of Jaggery (raw cane sugar from India bought from Southall market), Jasmine Petals, Cardamom and Coriander produce a distinctive twist to this "Indies Pale Ale". The resultant beer is a pale, smooth, full IPA with a distinct bitterness and with a hop aroma that is enhanced by a touch of the exotic!
