Beer List

We expect to have around 90 casks of real ale (that's over 6000 pints!) on-sale at the festival, together with up to 20 different traditional ciders and perries. The beer list will be posted here as soon as it becomes available.

Beers are listed in alphabetical order by brewer, as they will appear in the hall and in the programme.

A.B.C Aston, West Midlands
1. Heartlands Bitter 4.2% ABV
A golden amber bitter brewed using a blend of maltsand finished with English hops for a delicious bittersweet ale.

Acorn Barnsley, South Yorkshire
2. Conquest 5.7% ABV
Light golden coloured strong ale, biscuity malt flavours with good bitterness. A late charge of Brewers Gold and Bobek hops for the aroma give a fruity spicy character.
3. Gorlovka Imperial Stout 6.0% ABV
A deep malt and hoppy aroma with liquorice throughout. Roast malts, fruit and hops also carry through this full-bodied stout.

Amber Ripley, Derbyshire
4. Chocolate Orange Stout 4.0% ABV
Tweaked Stout, adding yet more chocolate malt and Curacao orange peel to the boil. Lots of vanilla pods added during fermentation and yet more orange is added into each cask, followed by a long slow maturation.
5. Samuel Slater 4.2% ABV
Quadruple hopped American-style Amber Ale, with lots of flavour from Nugget & Cascade hops, the cara-malt and an American Ale yeast.

Ashover Ashover, Derbyshire
6. Poets Tipple 4.0% ABV
Complex, tawny-coloured beer that drinks above its strength. Predominantly malty in flavour, with increasing bitterness towards the end.

B&T Shefford, Bedfordshire
7. Fruit Bat 4.5% ABV
A warming straw-coloured beer with a generous taste of raspberries and a bitter finish.

Backyard Walsall, West Midlands
8. The Hoard 3.9% ABV
Golden straw in colour with a toffee and light floral hop aroma and a dry crisp hoppy flavor.

Bank Top Bolton, Lancashire
9. Dark Mild 4.0% ABV
Dark brown beer with a malt and roast aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, with malt, roast maltand hops prominent throughout.

Banks's Wolverhampton West Midlands
10. Mild 3.5% ABV
An amber-coloured, well-balanced, refreshing session beer.

Bewdley Bewdley, Worcestershire
11. Leg'End of St George 4.1% ABV
Well-balanced, amber coloured bitter with a malty taste and hoppy finish.

Bird Brain Howden, East Yorkshire
12. Hammer Kop 4.4% ABV
Deep brown with full malt flavours and a strong hoppy finish.

Blackwater Shrewsbury, Shropshire
13. Warlock 5.0% ABV

Blythe Hamstall Ridware, Staffordshire

Hoppy and grassy aroma with hints of sweetness from this amber beer.Caramel start is soon overwhelmed by mouth-watering hops.

Brakspear Witney, Oxfordshire
17. Oxford Gold 4.0% ABV
English Target hops give this beer a remarkable aroma. Late hopping with Goldings and fermentation by the Brakspear yeast creates a remarkable zesty aroma, a full fruity flavour and a golden colour.

The rich and roasted malt notes defy the pale colour in this special bitter.

23. Pavilion Ale 4.0% ABV
Cornish heather & honey give a distinct hoppy aroma and bitter sweet finish to this pure golden ale.

Crouch Vale South Woodham Ferrers, Essex

Pale golden, refreshing beer with awesome Czech 'Sladek' hops providing a long, juicy bitter finish.

25. Samuel Berry's IPA 5.0% ABV
Fairly dark IPA style fruity bitter, with some sweetness in the aftertaste.

Creamy, full-coloured porter. Rich liqourice flavours with a hint of chocolate from roast malt. A soft but satisfying aftertase of bittersweet roast and malt.

Enville Enville, Staffordshire
28. Cherry Blonde 4.2% ABV
A light blonde bitter delicately infused with essence of Cherry to produce a Belgium style fruit flavoured beer. The aroma and taste surpass expectation whilst the bitter finish is dry, hoppy and refreshing.
29. Ale 4.5% ABV
Golden ale with a sweet, hoppy aroma. Sweet start when the honey kicks in, but a hoppy ending with a whisky and heather blend; thirst-quenching.
30. Ginger 4.6% ABV
Golden bright with gently gingered tangs. A drinkable beer with no acute flavours but a satisfying aftertaste of sweet hoppiness.

Falstaff Normanton, Derbyshire
31. Smiling Assassin 5.2% ABV
Dark amber in colour with a fruity malt nose. Fruity malt flavours and a fruity finish with hops coming through at the end.

Glastonbury Glastonbury, Somerset
32. Lady of the Lake 4.2% ABV
A full-bodied amber best bitter with plenty of hops to the fore balanced by a fruity malt flavour and a subtle hint of vanilla, leading to a clean, bitter hop aftertaste.

Green Jack Lowestoft, Suffolk
33. Mahseer IPA 5.0% ABV
Citrus and fruity straw coloured beer. US hops UK style.

A bitter sweet, medium-bodied, hopp ale with some malt.
43. Dark Ruby 6.0% ABV
A dark ruby strong ale with a good balance of fruit and hops, leading to a pleasant, lingering hops and malt finish.

Ilkley Ilkley, West Yorkshire
44. Olicana Gold 3.9% ABV
A refreshing, light session golden ale with a floral citrus aroma and delicate bitter finish.

Kelham Island Sheffield, South Yorshire
46. Pale Rider 5.2% ABV
A full-bodied, straw pale ale, with a good fruity aroma and a strong fruit and hop taste. Its well-balanced sweetness and bitterness continue in the finish.

Kinver Kinver, Staffordshire
47. Edge 4.2% ABV
Amber with a caramel and biscuit aroma. The sweet start with a little fruitiness developes into bitterness that elbows out the sweetness and promotes the hops for a lingering, mouth-warering finish.

A light tan coloured ale with a malty sweetness. Strong and spicy with a floral bitterness.

Classic red-brown porter with a faint malt and roast aroma. Roast malt flavours combine with vine fruit, becoming increasingly bitter towards the finish.
